Are you better off than you were 6 months ago?

If not, what are you doing about it?

With all due respect to former (and currently dead) president Ronald Reagan, are you doing any better than you were earlier this year?  If not, what are you planning to do about it?

You can’t blame the economy, the presidential election, or anyone or anything else if you’re disastisfied.  You’re the only one with enough power to turn the situation around quickly and time’s a ticking…

I say do these three things:

1. Go pick a date 100 Days from now.  Here’s a link to a free online date calculator
2. Pick something in your life to dramatically change between then and now
3. Launch your plan and do whatever is reasonable to achieve your vision of the future

Because things change so rapidly as to obviate long-term planning, you’re best choice is immediate action. Find something that is working and do more of it.  That’s your 20%.  Identify what isn’t pulling its own weight and abandon it. That’s your 80%.
